Of course, we at Peppers of Key West are a little biased since Datil Peppers are grown here in our home state of Florida. That doesn’t change the fact that Datil Do It Hot Sauce is an amazing concoction. A funny thing happens with Datil Peppers- folks are often not even aware of it’s existence and so have never even tried a hot sauce made with them. Once they do though, they can’t seem to get enough. As far as heat goes, it’s not as hot as the habanero, but the flavor is big. It’s almost like mixing a giant, ripe green pepper with the spice of a a pepper halfway between a jalapeno and habanero.
