People often think that if a sauce contains habanero, it must be hot. That’s not necessarily true, it’s always a matter of the recipe. And there are a lot of factors that go into making a hot sauce taste hot.
This Fartenburn recipe happens to be one where the habanero adds a zing of spice rather than an overwhelming blast. While it may not please you if you’re a hard-core chili head (unless you’re a collector then it’s a must), this sauce is about more than just peppers. And just so you know, the tomatoes are there more to balance out the sweetness of the mango!
