The Green Parrot Hot Mango Mama is chock full of mango and makes a great companion to lighter meats and white fish on the grill.  The combination of hot habanero and sweet mango create a hot sauce that's more on the mild side of heat, but loaded with flavor.  This hot mama will add sweet spice to your life; she's sassy and irresistible, but won't blow your mind. We know, sounds perfect.

Green Parrot Hot Mango Mama is one the most mild Habanero hot sauces we carry here at Peppers of Key West. It's not for lack of effort, that's the way the Green Parrot intended it to be. Mango cools down the heat from peppers, but leaves the taste intact. We're sure there is a perfectly reasonable scientific reason as to why that is, but we haven't been able to find it yet. The closest thing we've found is that there is a substance in the mango that neutralizes the capsaicin in the pepper. Not sure, but we'll keep looking for that one.

In the meantime, we'll continue to slather our meats and fish with Green Parrot Hot Mango Mama and enjoy the fact that there is something going on inside that bottle.
