This sauce is new take on an old favorite, Louisiana style hot sauce, with a sweeter taste and finer texture. 1st Place Winner - 2002 National competition conducted by Chile Pepper Magazine. 2nd Place Winner - People's Choice Award, 2003 Zesty Food Show, Ft. Worth, Texas. Swamp Scum Hot Sauce is also a relatively mild sauce, coming in at a 2 out of 10 on the Peppers of Key West Heat Level Rating Scale. That's mild enough for even the most timid hot sauce lover to enjoy.

One of our favorite uses for Swamp Scum Hot Sauce is on our chicken wings. The molasses adds a nice sweet flavor and the peppers give you that expected zing from wings. To heat it up a bit, for you chili heads, Swamp Scum Hot Sauce makes a great wing base and then add some hotter sauce for the heat.
