Captain Thom's White Zombie Hot Sauce will do the opposite of making you a barely conscious walking corpse. Instead, it will light you up and let you know you're alive. Captain Thom starts with the prolific Red Savina Pepper which once held the Guinness Book of World Records Hottest Pepper spot until it was unseated in 2007 by the Jolokia (Ghost) Pepper. He then creates a distinctly Caribbean flair by mixing in Papaya, Pineapple, Banana, Brown Rum, and sugars.
You know, I suppose if you actually drank a whole bottle of this, you just might end up like a zombie, though I'm certainly not trying that here at Peppers of Key West, or anywhere else for that matter. I'm just fine enjoying my Captain Thom's White Zombie Hot Sauce in doses that won't make me speak in tongues or have my skin turn an ashen gray. This sauce has a very respectable heat level at 5 out of 10 on our Peppers of Key West Heat Level Scale.
The Red Savina mixed with dark sugars and rum make this sauce a great compliment to poultry, pork, and beef. How about a roast beef sandwich dipped into a little bit of this stuff? Yeah, that sounds goooood..... mmmm. Sorry, I'm back. . It also makes a mean Shrimp Diablo style meal, especially if you batter fry the shrimp to make them good and crispy and facilitate the soaking up of this delicious sauce. Who do the voodoo? You do, with Captain Thom's White Zombie Hot Sauce.
