Blair's Jalapeno Death Hot Sauce with Tequila is another of the infamous Blair's hot sauce offerings. This particular sauce is a little tart with the flavorings of Key Lime juice and cilantro. The real uniqueness comes from the use of shallots and tequilla. That's a combination of flavors that will surprise you with how good it is. One of the things we love about Blair is that he seems to have a knack for creating crazy sounding sauces that end up tasting absolutely amazing. This one is yet another example of that. This is one his more mild hot sauces that uses jalapeno as the underlying pepper. It's certainly not tame, but it's heat is more of an added bonus than the main event. The flavor is the real star in this hot sauce.
Of course, there is a nice healthy dose of garlic in Blair's Jalapeno Death Hot Sauce with Tequila too. When added to the rest of the ingredients, this sauce comes alive with deep and complex flavors great for almost any dish you can think of. Here at Peppers, our favorites are using this hot sauce on fish tacos, shrimp, marinated chicken, and simply adding it to a fresh handful of chopped tomatoes for an instant, crowd pleasing salsa that packs enough heat to keep the chiliheads happy while not scorching the uninitiated. Don't let the reputation of Blair's hot sauces being the hottest on the planet scare you away from this one, you'll be missing out. Although he does make the hottest on the planet, he also makes some of the best.
